Just 15 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta, this lush jungle trail follows the river to a series of waterfalls and natural swimming pools. The shaded hike is especially rewarding during the rainy season when the falls are flowing at their strongest. Continue farther upstream to discover additional pools and quieter places to swim.

Arrive before 9:30 AM for the best experience. Wear waterproof shoes, as you'll cross shallow streams and the rocks near the falls can become slippery.
