The second edition of this half marathon, distinct from the longer-running XXII Medio Maratón in November, is held at the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center with 21K and 5K distance options. It's part of the broader Maratón Puerto Vallarta program, which also includes a 42K full marathon each April, sanctioned by AIMS World Running and World Athletics, with a fully renewed course. The event caps off a strong year for Puerto Vallarta's sports tourism push, following a seventh annual marathon edition that drew over 3,000 runners from 24 countries.
